Barnby Gate Surgery is embracing a forward-thinking national movement to include a clinical pharmacist in our GP practice.
The pharmacist offers patient appointments for medicines reviews and other medicines-related support, including discussing side effects.
The pharmacists can also help patients with their medicines following a stay in hospital or with their long-term conditions such as diabetes or asthma and may prescribe medicines where appropriate. You can also ask to speak with them on the phone if you have a problem relating to a medication.
The community chemists (Evans, Boots, Whistlers, Lloyds etc) can help you with all sorts of minor ailments and the treatment will still be free if you do not pay for prescriptions.
